Colecovision / MSX1

There was a time before the videogame crash of 1983 where the Colecovision was king. Not only did they have a console that was ahead of the competition, they had all the dream developers on board: Sega, Nintendo and Konami to name a few.

The Colecovision is essentially a stripped MSX1 with cartridge slot, 32kb rom and 1kb ram. So games written for the colecovision could easily ported to the MSX, but the other way around proves to be more difficult (but is certainly possible as well).

I have started a number of games and a technical-demo for the system back in 2006, but far no release yet for any of them. Writing your first game for a system requires a lot of components like a sound system, menu system , etc.  Once these are in place, the following games take less time to develop.
